How to use cualquier/cualquiera

Cualquiera

Can be translated as "any", "any of them". Usually, it's in response to a selection of options and it doesn't go before noun (it's a pronoun).

Example:

What type of pencil do you need?
Any (of them) is good.

Also, it can mean "any person" or "anybody"

Example:

This one can also be translated as "any" but always before another word, a noun. We can also translate it as "whichever".

Examples:

Any kid must spend time outside.

Whichever problem you have it has solution.

Any car/whichever car will be enough.
